4th Edition of Mahabs Point Break Challenge 2025 Kicks Off in

Mahabalipuram

Mahabalipuram, Tamil Nadu – June 23, 2025:


The 4th edition of the Mahabs Point Break Challenge, presented by TT Group and organised

by Surf Turf, officially kicked off today in the historic surf town of Mahabalipuram.

Sanctioned by the Tamil Nadu Surfing Association and the Surfing Federation of India (SFI),

the event marks the third stop of the National Surf Series 2025.

This year’s challenge carries special significance as it serves as the final selection event for

Team India ahead of the Asian Surfing Championship 2025, also set to take place in

Mahabalipuram later this August.

The event was ceremoniously flagged off by DSP Arivazhagan, signaling the start of what

promises to be one of the most intense surf competitions of the season.

All of India’s top surfers have progressed to the quarterfinals, setting the stage for an

electrifying finals day. Kishore and Srikanth impressed the crowd and judges with their aerial

mastery, raising the stakes in the battle for the top spot. They will be up against defending

champion Ramesh, who remains undefeated and is eyeing a record-breaking fourth

consecutive title at the Point Break Challenge.

The finals promise a thrilling showdown between new-age talent and seasoned champions,

and the surfing community is eagerly anticipating who will emerge as India’s top wave rider.
