Membership & Accreditation categories
The Surfing Federation of India offers three categories of membership, State, Club & Individual athlete.

State Accreditation
All state associations promoting the sport of surfing & stand up paddle boarding.

School & Club Accreditation
All schools & clubs promoting the sport of surfing & stand up paddle boarding.

Individual membership
All athletes participating in national championships.

Tamil Nadu Surfing Association was founded in 2023. Currently contributing to the largest fleet of Surf & SUP athletes. TNSA is affiliated with the Sports Development Authority of Tamil Nadu for the sports of surfing & stand up paddle boarding (SUP).

Karnataka Surfing Association was founded in 2025 via a cooperation between Surf & SUP schools in the state.

Surfing Kerala is the accredited state association for surfing & SUP in Kerala. Founded in 2025 via cooperation between surf & sup schools in the state.
