2025 APSS Asia Tour in Taiwan
Pingtung, Taiwan – October 26, 2025
The Indian Surfing Team, representing the Surfing Federation of India (SFI), delivered an outstanding performance at the 2025 Pingtung Jialeshuei Asian ProAm Surf Series (APSS) held in Taiwan from 22nd to 26th October 2025.
A total of eight Indian surfers competed in the prestigious international event, showcasing remarkable skill and consistency against some of Asia’s best surfers.

Kishore Kumar led the charge for India, earning an impressive Silver Medal (2nd place) in the Men’s Shortboard division, while Sivaraj Babu finished strongly in 4th place, marking two top-four finishes for India in the men’s category.
In the women’s division, Sugar Shanthi Gayen displayed exceptional form to secure 4th place, while Kamali Prakash, Shrishti Selvam, and Sandhya Arunkumar gained valuable international experience and exposure in competitive conditions.

The Asian ProAm Surf Series (APSS) is organized by the Asian Surf Cooperative (ASC) and serves as one of Asia’s key competitive circuits, attracting top surfers from across the continent.
Team India’s performance in Taiwan marks another milestone in its journey toward excellence and international recognition in the sport of surfing.
